Chris Clemons is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Clemons began playing the trumpet while a student in Indiana, performing with local jazz, symphonic, and marching bands. Inspired by the siren song of rock and roll, he picked up the guitar a few years later.
After completing a degree in Music Performance on the trumpet from Weber State University, Clemons co-founded Shaky Trade, a six piece funk/rock band in Ogden, Utah. 10 years with the project ensued, resulting in a plethora of live shows and three studio albums.
His current project is Do While Loops, a name that is taken from his parallel background as a software developer. "For me, music is a lifelong, iterative process. As long as I'm upright, I should do music. Finding out what the current iteration sounds like is part of the kick," says Clemons.
Clemons' teaching combines his widespread musical background, encompassing rock, jazz, folk, and classical influences.
